I didn’t do nothing much during the past few days except snapping a few funny shots and updating my long and dusty neopets.

Yes babes, I do still have a neopets account and its now being used as a killer time. My headphones have decided to crank up on me. I did some operation on my operating theather, my desktop, and had to re-wire and re-solder the whole circuit because the manufacturer had used a cheap type of audio DC cable.

speaker faulty

I thought I still had some spare and leftovers of audio cable but after half and hour I found only the wrapper. Drat! So had to resort to old barbaric way since the only cables I’m left are 10mm AC and DC cable, 16mm, 25mm DC cable. So what can I do but so some wire stripping on lose 10mm cable and take a few strands of the 0.5mm copper strands and jump start everything.

After the re-wiring did some testing and the left speaker died on me. After much troubleshooting, found out that the soldering circuit of the etched pcb board of the input was spoilt. So much for soldering like a pro.

What to do? Scrap of the faulty part, did a fast makeover and tested it out again. It works! All speakers work and with much louder volume. But… But since the faulty part was scrapped off, it became a rheostat by itself. Drat! So now have to be contented with an always evolving volume speaker.

Wait til I head to Sim Lim. Then I can resolder the whole circuit and make sure the speakers work properly this time.
