*blinks in confusion* Ok..

Pardon my lost in space moment there. I just recently updated my WordPress and the latest version is almost similar to the usual old one that I have been using. My favourite easy navigator bar is missing and has been replaced with something much more..elegant and it looks neater and hmm.. simplified. I hope I did get the right word for that description.

Lately everyone is in the shopping mood as the Mid-Year sale is still on. Almost all the items are slashed at a startling price. I would have joined the fray if I had the funds for it. A few weeks ago, Casio was having a great discount and most of their funky watches were priced below SGD$100.

I am a fan of watches and would love to buy those unique watches. I was entranced by a particular bulova watch but after looking at the price, I made a beeline for the exit. Usually I would just get the cheap ones in Bugis St as they are priced below SGD$10. My mock up leather strap big funky watched I had previously bought was $5.

Previously,  BHG was having a DBS/ POSB debit/credit card member close sale and the atmosphere was very staggering. I was overwhelmed by the surge of crowd that went crazy with their shopping. People were literally ransacking the shelves.

I did take a look at the prices. They were cheaper than usual but after comparing the prices in Malaysia, I’d rather get it in Malaysia than in Singapore. Less bulk for me to carry and lesser impact on my pocket.

I have been very lazy lately in updating this dusty site. What used to be a place where I dump all my thoughts and cynical ideas, now rests with the dust and huge cobwebs. *dons her apron and takes out her feather duster*

Time to whip those dust bunnies and show them who is boss eh? *gives a loud war cry and chases the dust bunnies away*

I am not sure if I have written about it but I recently got myself a new desktop in lieu with a lightning storm that fried my old PC. Since it was not equipped with a decent video graphic card, I trudge back to my homeland, Sim Lim Square and got the best deal out of them.

GEFORCE GT 220 may be out dated for several years but thats the only one which I am able to afford considering I have a tight budget. It is a 1GB DDR2 HDMI DVI VGA PCI E and it was pegged at $SGD 86.00.

For newbies who are new into graphic cards, do lots of reading and comparing online first before buying anything. Furthermore those sales person behind the counter usually expects a nerd/ geek to be buying all of these items and will never be helpful to counter offer or even help you out in your purchase.

Unfortunately I faced that problem since its been years since I even read a PC magazine. Electronics are constantly updating and revamping and it is VERY much advised to read up before you buy anything.

When you have bought it, read up on how to install it along with the driver. Do not plug your monitor into your new graphic card yet until all the installation is completed. Plug n Play will not recognise it yet.

I installed it with no problems and am happily playing Dragons Age Origin and Awakening with ease. Fantastic graphics that game has *drools*. However if you do installed a new patch for Dragons Age Awakening, do a data backup for your game. I had problems with the patch and its crappy.

Tempting me to rewrite a few things in that patch, although I get a little lazy in reading programming words.

Wee… Just came back from a much needed RnR from Perling Mall. We walked there. Their cinema has been renovated and it is no longer the old dingy type. The counters are much cleaner and the the whole atmosphere of the waiting que looks much refreshing from the previous.

Visited Watson for a little window shopping. Their acne products department is sadly lacking and so is the rest of them. They do however have Simplisity make up in their inventory. I was tempted to buy her gold glitter eye shadow. It looks very nice!!

Almost all of the shops on their level two has closed down and its more of a dead town. The McD is still there. Unfortunately they do not serve my milkshake. I went there with a craving for milkshake and was disappointed that do not serve them.

I am not sure what the management or the sales of Perling Mall is doing. The place is getting more empty instead of filled up. Oh well, need to serve dinner now.

I went to Singapore yesterday and did a walkabout in Orchard and Bugis. Lots of things have changed since the last time I stepped into there, which was 2 years ago. The old Ngee Ann City was torn down and replaced by a new mall, Ion Orchard. The old Specialist Building was torn down and replaced with 313@Somerset and the open carpark next to it had a new building made over it. The Orchard Emerald was gone, leaving the Peranakan Place intact.

In Bugis, well nothing major had changed but there was a new mall beside the Bazaar stalls which used to be car parks. My old rojak stall is not in view, not sure if he had moved off but apart from that, the Old Victoria St still looks the same.

I did some light shopping at Orchard and Bugis. NEVER BUY THOSE $10 clothes unless you can try them or you are as skinny as a toothpick. The clothes may look very nice and tempting but the moment you try to fit into it at home, it just get stuck at your shoulders and worse, your breast.

Don’t get overwhelmed by all the cheap prices. Buy only clothes that you CAN TRY AND FIT. Or you’ll end up tearing the poor clothes at the seams. *glares at the smallish-ly laced blouse*

Anyway I did manage to scout for my supplements. I really think that the price in Malaysia looks much nicer than those found in Singapore. They are 30% costlier!
