It was a much deserved break. Days of cooping up in the house, tends to grate on my nerves, at times I find myself questioning my very sanity.. Well without much ado and a spontaneous invite from my dad, we hopped on into/onto our vehicles and headed out to Batu Layar Beach.
My hubby and I took the new fast route, the new Desaru-Pasir Gudang highway from Ulu Tiram. The journey was cut by 30%. Originally, from Ulu Tiram to Desaru its 97km, but with the new highway its been cut to 54km. The ride was smooth, fast and scenic. Its truly scenic as the route cuts across a few unknown large rivers and I get to see oil platforms. Hehehe.. yes I’m a bit weird but being brought up with heavy marine industry as one of my interest, I was chirping with glee when I caught sight of them.
Initially dad wanted to check out Tanjung Balau Beach. We did reach Tjg Balau. The resort looks promising and the amenities were surprisingly good. However, the beach is below my expectations. Having brought up almost with a visit to the beach almost weekly, I was dissatisfied with the man made looking beach. The waves were too choppy and only thing anyone could ever do during the Monsoon season with the red flag firmly planted to the ground is either to play sand castle or to surf (at your own risk).
However Tjg Balau has their own surfer rescue life guard, complete with the surfboard and is always ready to save any unfortunate(stubborn) souls who cross waves with the notorious sea.
After the short visit to that place, we once again headed out to our favourite place to swim, Batu Layar. It’s quiet, clean and the toilet is in much greater condition than the rest of the paid toilets found further up. It’s Mutiara Bay. Lovely friendly locals who charged a reasonable price for the usage of their facilities and parking space. It’s kept clean so visitors would never have to worry about their packed food being attacked by unwanted pests.
Since the location of the place is not that open into the South China Sea unlike to Tjg Balau and Dessaru, its a much safer place to swim. You may try your luck at fishing but the best I’ve ever gotten from there is just a baby grouper and Unga Tanda. But be wary of where you swim as some places has rocks and corals located in the waters.
Apart from it, everything is enjoyable and great.

*cough cough* Well… this is certainly embarrassing. I didn’t realise that it was months since my last update. Thoroughly embarrassing.. *hides from the angry readers with pitchforks*
Nothing much has happened. I finally got married amidst my jittery feelings and negative aura which happens to be my evil demon side etc… OK enough of my personal life. I got married, got a new job and had a time of my life terrorising my colleagues every time I feel stress with work. So love my work.. lol
Will be posting my decent wedding pictures soon, once I get a proper collection of my photos and free self-time *glares at her husband*.
See you darlings next time! Hopefully soon in the next few days

My Road Tax needs to be renewed next March and looking at the the bill.. Hmm its going to be costly since its 3000CC.. Haiz.. Now I’m going to once again scout for cheap car insurance quotes.
Currently what I have is considerably Ok but no harm in trying to get the best cheap stuff in town. If it can save a few dollars I’d still consider but if the service stinks, I will not hesitate to just pick up the phone and get my agent to do it. Lesser chore, same price and its delivered to my house.
Its Eidul Adha today and I didn’t do much except eat and sleep. Literally sleep from 1pm to 5pm and the weather was a perfect catalyst for a hibernation. The bruises on my body is still visible but the pain, well it is painless, most probably I’m used to falling.
At around 5.30pm or so we head out to some close relatives and had dinner at one of the houses. I love visiting time but not many seem to reciprocate the idea.
Anyway I gotta go now. Need to make hot drink for myself. Been feeling woozy again. Bye!

Started off my day with picking out the flowers and leaves from mom’s and our neighbour’s garden. Plucked and ransacked out a bunch of flowers for the the hall’s bouquet vase.
Ever since I had started the trend of having fresh flowers in the house a few weeks ago, flower arrangement has been our bi-daily hobby or until the flowers start to wither (whichever comes first). The orchids at the market are sold at RM2 for 6 stalks and you may choose the colors or have them from the same group.
Anyway I need to get a proper big vase instead of using my glass bottles which I had collected over the years as a hobby. The stalks can’t fit in properly without toppling over and making a muck out of everything.
I am still editing all the pictures taken at Melaka. Trying my best to get some inspiration for my collection theme although I could not sense any inspiration gracing me.

Oh!! And I finally updated Indigo Eyes!! Wow.. I didn’t realise it was years since I last update it..

I had to cut short my holiday in Singapore to today. It was supposed to be until Monday morning but things came up and we had to be recalled back. Well at least I was able to spend a great evening with my elder sister during her birthday.

Oh yesh, that’s me at my sister’s place at 12.40am. Everyone was going nutsy, topsy and turvy. I love my cute Puss-In-Mah-Boots.
I also wanna apologise to all my friends whom I had made prior arrangements to visit you during raya. Really SOWI!!

With the coming of new computer phones/ smart phones such as Iphone and Droid, it is not surprising that people came up with iphone insurance since the values of information in the phones are much more valuable than the phone itself.
Furthermore the resale value of the phones are quite high thus, it is not surprising for these phones to be stolen more than the normal dummy phones.
Anyway I will be in Singapore until Monday. Anything just Facebook, email or sms me. Ciaoz!

Last weekend was a great and enjoyable event.God, I sound so corny with that lame sentence opening. To imagine that I used to get such good grades in my literature..
Anyway, I am happy to say I finally managed to meet my distant relatives whom I kept hearing but never met. I am talking about my aunt Asiah ( I don’t really know her full name) Had a good reception at her place. The food was lovely and the chit chats was entertaining (smiles mischievously).
I managed to get another person to realise that idolising these celebrities are a total waste of time. Hahaha.. Anyway here are the pictures, although I did load all of them on Facebook.

Wow, the first few days of Raya (Eid Mubarak) was an endless journey of visiting all my relatives. Even though I was having a cold and bad sorethroat, I was happily munching on the festive cookies. However I did know when to stop since my throat consistently flares up and make me scramble to pop in my antibiotic lozenges.
Went to Grandpa’s, Mak Long Jah and Mak Busu’s house in the first day. Second day was spent in the car, visiting my brother and his family at Kuala Pilah. We had decided to head off to KL however after taking a look at the jam, we turn tail and headed back home to JB.
Third day was spent visiting my Grand Uncle, Cik Lala, Cik Bulat and Cik Ani. It was great fun mingling amongst my darling relatives especially those whom we rarely meet. And lucky for us, there wasn’t any traffic jam in and out of Malaysia and Singapore. Wee!!
I am still waiting for the pictures to be uploaded since most of them was snapped by my aunts and cousins.

It’s nearing the end of Ramadan. Alhamdullilah this year my fasting was very easy and not once had I bowed down to the sweltering heat. This year Eid Mubarak celebration will be done very minimally.
I have decided not to get any new Baju Kurung for myself since the previous ones I had from all the previous years still hung in their very good condition in my closet. Even my festive cookies is brought to a minimal. I’m not making any Pineapple Tarts but instead made only 2 different types of festive cookies for this year. The rest of the festive food is being filled by Rempeyek and Keropok, cheaper and more convenient.
However since my shoes are very worn off, I did get a new pair of sandals. Instead of getting my norm Crocodile shoes, I settled for something much cheaper and simple. It only cost Rm25 per pair. Initially I had wanted to get a pair of comfort shoes, as my preferences, but after a stern glare from mommy dearest, I had to steer off from the Comfort Shoes Isle and browse to the Elegant Isle.
I don’t see anything wrong with buying comfort shoes since I will be walking most of the time instead of being driven around. My feet is as important as my brain. It needs alot of attention, good attention.
The Food Bazaar Ramadan in Perling is a small size compared to the previous years. All of the food sold is almost the same and not once have I bought anything from there except for the other day when I was craving badly for Air Kathira.
I also have not yet visited Plaza Angsana. From my previous years in visiting them, there are nothing cheap there and the traffic jam is horrendous unless you rode a bike.
Anyway need to rest now. Will update later.
