Had a fantastic roadtrip with daddy dearest today on my Modenas Kriss. On a normal road drive, the journey to Ayer Hitam via the Plus Highway would have taken an hour or less. It took a long ride on our trusted steed.

We headed out at 10.30am or so and went via the highway from Perling and exit at Kulai since I found the ride on the Plus Highway was very monotonous and boring. The traffic on Kulai Plus Highway was packed with heavy vehicles and speeding demons, all intending to head back north from their holiday.

Then from Kulai onwards, we took the old federal highway and enjoyed the scenery. I managed to terrorise the locals at almost every point and would have stopped and bought all the munchies I could take at every village I had been the rider.

We stopped at Ayer Hitam Pekan and had lunch there. I get to enjoy a lovely plate of Nasi Briyani Mutton at Rm6.50 and chit chat with the locals there. The shop is located on the right street side after you had turned left from the 4-way traffic light junction with the pump station on your right. Friendly chaps the whole lot of them and once our stomach was full, we headed out again.

We headed home using the Parit Raja–> Parit Betak (Raja Surani exit)–> Parit Maridono (Parit Martajam)–> Pekan Nenas–> Home. I love this road!! It is the only one that has loads of river, just scenery and it reminds me of  the days of when I was younger.

Anyway the torrential rainstorm caught us wet at Pekan Nenas. It left me shivering cold once I reach home. The lightning were striking beautifully over our heads. The wind was strong enough to drag us to the side. It left trees upturned and huge advertisement boards collapsed (even at Perling Show Village). We even had maneuver our way along a few upturned trees that had blocked our way.

No doubt we were left wet, soaked and shivering but it was fun and an enjoyable ride!!!
