Last weekend I took up a marriage course in Assyakirin Mosque in Singapore. In Singapore, the Muslim have to take up a marriage course before the couple can be allowed to receive their marriage certificate. No doubt it is not an obligatory to attend for the course but since the divorce rate in Singapore for Muslim community is quite high, the government have made a new ruling for the newly weds or to-be-wed couples to take up the course.

My partner and I took the two days course and it was surprisingly very enlightening. The subjects covered were what I had mostly came across with especially with the managing of the finance and readjusting the budget. The organisers even prepared role playing gigs for couples to further understand the situation of a marriage life. No, there isn’t any hanky panky but there were lots of ‘problem’ scenes and ‘what if’ scenarios.

They also covered the communication problems that most married couples and perhaps in my case sometimes unmarried couples faces when things get monotonous. Good thing I paid extremely well in that subject, sometimes things do get very boring with same routines.

I personally like the couple interaction and Sex and Intimacy.. hehehe.. I’m not going to share anymore notes on the subject and let those to be weds go for the course and stand a two days very interactive course.
