Chinese New Year is next month and the bus tickets have been fully booked in prior to the season. While everyone else is preparing for the New Year, the non-Chinese are growing quite bored with just staying at home and watching TV.

You can always hear the locals on advicing tourists never to go out on a holiday on a CNY. I totally agree to the advice since I’ve had a first hand experience in holidaying on Chinese New Year to Cameron Highlands. Heading there was jam and coming back was a killer.

But I think it will be much better and with lesser jams if one were to go overseas for the CNY. Perhaps to Miami, since the miami hotel deals are quite competitive right now. Or to Moscow and visit the Kremlin.

I’ve always wanted to go to Russia and bask in their wonderful architecture. The subway happens to have their own art gallery as you pass through the tunnels to head out for the subways. Wonder when I could go there.
