I don’t understand why some men would want to buff themselves up and pump the muscles over the press. Not everyone can achieve a body like Rambo. While some did manage to turn into Rambo models, some unfortunately turns out into becoming a ninja turtle. Big body, small head and legs.

I’d really prefer men who are just well toned in their own natural physique. At least I do not need to worry over a 100kg+ of muscles crushing me should he faint.

Anyway I can’t wait for the Last Airbender movie to come out. I want to see my dad’s favourite cartoon popped up to life. Yes, he loves the cartoon and would go all lengths to watch everyone one of the repeats of the show.

However the weather is perfect for a sleep in, which I unfortunately cannot. I got a feeling that it will be rainy the whole day.

Currently I’m trying to find new ideas on how to treat acne using natural remedies. I’m not sure if natural remedies will work but since I am quite free, I will do some light research on that.

Boon Lay Way, where the old Boon Lay Secondary School used to be, always faced the problem of flooding at the side gate. It was a major to trudge through the ankle deep water just to get out from the gate and to the bus stop. It was even terrible when you have school the next day and the only pair of shoes  you have were those wet ones you wore in the flood.

However I didn’t expect an important place like Orchard Road to be facing a terrible flash flood. So who should we put the blame of the recent flash floods? Will it be the unpredictable weather or the construction works on the Marina Barrage that affected the main water flow of the main river in Singapore or the ever on going land reclamation project at every known Singapore owned islands?

In my opinion, it would be all of them. I wonder if the geologist in Singapore has done any studies of the movement of the earth. Constant digging through the earth for tunnels and other purposes, land reclamation and the lacking of widening of the main water flow such as the rivers and canals  may perhaps be the factor of the flash floods in Singapore.

But is Singapore sinking? I am not sure about that. Unless there is a major earthquake (touch wood!) it may perhaps move Singapore like what it did to some countries after the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake and tsunami.

Coral reefs were destroyed, some land were pushed upwards from the sea while some land sank. I can’t really remembered what was the title of the documentary but I clearly remembered how much land the quake had pushed out from the sea.

It has come to my attention that clothes manufacturer lately has a crazed devotion on making clothes which are either notoriously small for an average healthy size person like me and declaring them as Free Size. Unfortunately wearing those clothes doesn’t make me feel free at ease, in fact it makes me feel suffocated. Only the agile lithe gymnastic person who can bend their limbs can fit those clothes without tearing the seams.

What’s worse is that once we, the average size women, cannot fit into these small sized clothing, the sales person and those who are around us would give us sly smiles and snicker behind our backs. What’s so good about having only skin and 1mm of meat on your bones? Are those who are not in this category labeled as aliens?

Perhaps we should all place the blame on the founder of the Skinny Models, Twiggy Lawson. She was our first skinny, twig sized model that made the whole fashion industry scrambling to make all the clothes as small as possible. These are the people that make kids and adults being so self conscious of themselves that to look otherwise would make them be alienated or even criticized by others.

I could still remember the time when everyone thought being skinny is healthy. Everyone I knew was scrambling to get their fats out of their system, partly also the men would not find anything larger than skinny desirable. Slimming pills, Slimming spa, appetite suppressant (many wanted to buy phentermine) and etc became such a big hit.

The skinny issue is also warranting ill effects from the  youngsters. Some have taken up excessive starving, practice of bulimia and excessive usage of slimming pills. There are even websites and clubs that promotes such a thing to get the desired effect.

If only these youngsters know how difficult it is to bring back home food, then they would not practice such things. If only these youngsters faced the problems such as those in countries that are plagued by war or natural disasters where food is scarce, then they would think twice of starving themselves.

If only someone could ban the skinny models on the runway and replace them with average healthy BMI person. NOW then the fashion industry would be fair to us, average sized women.

In Bugis, well nothing major had changed but there was a new mall beside the Bazaar stalls which used to be car parks. My old rojak stall is not in view, not sure if he had moved off but apart from that, the Old Victoria St still looks the same.

I did some light shopping at Orchard and Bugis. NEVER BUY THOSE $10 clothes unless you can try them or you are as skinny as a toothpick. The clothes may look very nice and tempting but the moment you try to fit into it at home, it just get stuck at your shoulders and worse, your breast.

Don’t get overwhelmed by all the cheap prices. Buy only clothes that you CAN TRY AND FIT. Or you’ll end up tearing the poor clothes at the seams. *glares at the smallish-ly laced blouse*

Anyway I did manage to scout for my supplements. I really think that the price in Malaysia looks much nicer than those found in Singapore. They are 30% costlier!

Oh how I miss my teenage years when my my stomach was firm and had toned abs. Now its all the abs lumped into one fat blubber. So embarrassing.. I did Google up for diet pills that work but after reading or should I say getting lost at the jumbles of advertisement, I decided to call it quits.

No pills will work on your fats unless you accompany them with exercise and proper eating diet. Aiyo.. Now I have to wake up earlier and do daily routine exercise. All for my slim tummy…

Anyway my partner and I did try to apply for a BTO in Singapore. Our application was rejected even though my partner’s credit standing was great. They needed joint applicants who are working and you can’t even choose what house type (3-room, 4-room, 5 room) you want. They will calculate the total salary and from there they will ensure match the house type in par with your salary.

This means even if you want to purchase a 3-room FLAT for economy but  your salary is more than their threshold, you would have no choice but to stick to a 4-room and 5-room FLATS and paid by both partners. By the time you reach your retirement age, you’d be left with a fat zero in your CPF.

So much for having savings for your retirement age.

I am luck to be staying in Malaysia since the houses here are not as suffocatingly small and not priced at sky-high. No doubt the security, public transport and bla bla bla is not as good as Singapore but at least I don’t need to worry for my retirement age. I saved alot when I am staying here and it is less stressful than in Singapore where everyone rushes to everywhere.
