Did nothing much but reconfigure my dad’s laptop that had been bugging and coughing to its death slowly. All the updates have been installed and running smoothly. Unfortunately my Microsoft Words Office XP is missing and I’m not at all happy at this.

I live and breathe on Microsoft Office and to lose the CD, I’m frowning and cursing my bad luck. The Office 2003 doesn’t work properly and the MSN messenger will not work until the Service Pack 2 is updated. This is the most irritating and frustrating thing that Microsoft could ever come out with. As if their latest messenger never takes up more than 10mb of space.

Grr..

Tomorrow I need to get my M. Office up. In the mean time, my family will just have to settle with Yahoo Messenger. I’m not going to bother downloading and wasting my time to get the MSN up. If anyone wants to contact me, just Skype me up or Yahoo me.

New Year Resolution: Lessen up on the negative attiude and thoughts. Work harder and get all my goals done.

And get more dresses and skirts! Muahaha…

For uncomplicated reasons, I would not be updating Zackire.com tomorrow. My internet connection would be down for some upgrading works. So this mean I won’t do any heavy works for my part on all my internet jobs and other stuff related. This would be the perfect opportunity to train my younger sister in HTML and Microsoft Excel coding.

It’s not that difficult. I’ll make sure it’s not tough on her until her acne pimples and her brain burst out… Err…. Hehehe…

Hopefully by the end of tomorrow, I’ll be able to get my internet back. I don’t want to trek down 1km in the evening just to get my internet connection. But if my internet is still down, I have to no choice but share my space with 40 other noisy teenagers, intend on destroying their eyesight while they shoot each other down on the Lan Game HALO.

Oh well, I will make sure that all my jobs and updates is done before today is done. I don’t want complaints filling up my inbox when I next open my mailbox.

Don’t you hate it whenever you have a great idea to write a story of sorts and then rushed to the computer, turn on the Words program only to have the idea slipping away, leaving you bereft of the adrenaline rush. I had a perfect storyline to write for today’s topic but lost it when I was rudely disturbed by the problem of my little monster of a younger brother.

I was this close to write and this close to beshrew the culprit. Once again the most feared disease to all writer, Author’s Block, overwhelmed me. It would take me weeks and sometimes months to get the right twinkle in my stories. What a bore.

I had my adrenaline rush, I had my struck by inspiration lightning and I even had my coffee beside me. But no ideas. Wasteland.. pure wasteland..

Tee-Hee!!

I had bought a battery charger last Saturday on ebay. Initially I had thought I was to receive my item via POSLAJU on Tuesday but I was jumping in my pants in glee when my parcel was sent on Monday morning via SKYNET.

Hehehe… I am just so happy with the battery charger which I had bought. At first I had wanted to buy from the local shops here but after scouting around for the better price, I was greatly despaired. It was in the range of RM50- RM65 for a 4 sets of battery (AAA/AA). I had requested for a cheaper brand charger like Camelion since its way cheaper than GP CELL and Energiser and has the same quality as them.

Fortunately for me, I had waited for months for this bargain. When I had saw the item on ebay.com.my, I was grinning like a big fool while I click the BUY NOW button. DUH!! Its the best deal I can ever get in Johor Bahru. I know in KL its cheaper here but somehow in JB the prices is the same rate as in Singapore which seems unfair since the people who stays here are Malaysian and NOT Singaporeans. Grr..

The KDN HDEP should take a firm lookout on this price matter. It’s too much for the lower income to keep paying for all the items that costs the same as in Singapore.

So anyway I manage to get this baby at only RM30.00 inclusive of delivery charges. Hehehe.. Sooooo happy for me!! And of course, with my batteries fully charged, I got to get my snappy cameras to snap more pictures!!

Anyway now I’m browsing through all the health insurance policies available which are not from AIG or AIA. I’m still unsure on their stability ever since the recent roller coaster ride in the US stock market.

I can’t belive I’m watching Dandan Setia after all these years. It’s an old classic movie starring Jins Shamsuddin, Sa’adiah, Aziz Jaafar and many well known veteran movie stars. I love the story and even the overall simplicity storyline and even the running around singing interludes.

The story describe how prejudice revolves and effects everyone even the royalties. But with the help of some fairies, the ugly face and black complexion was lifted away from the unfortunate princess. Anyway I’m not going to blabber about the story since its 10.30 pm now.

However I do hate the fact that when the princess, Intan Terpilih (Sa’diah), was still dark skinned, Dandan was cruel mouthed towards her and kept insulting her not so pretty features. But the moment she turned fair and beautiful due to a fairy, he was immediately smitten and began courting her. It’s so typical of human nature to turn their backs on the unfortunate and worship the ground of the higher standard.

If I was the princess, I would return the ‘warm’ courtesy that the prince had bestowed upon her and make his life a pure misery even after the change of complexion. Grr…

I can’t stop myself from smiling or grinning from ear to ear this whole morning. This is all because of the books that I managed to read yesterday. Oh they are not your usual cup of tea romance novels that demands the heroine to falls head over heels for the hunk and be the submissive and emotionally wrecked character. But the story that I read lastnight is totally the opposite.

I am talking about Mary Janice Davidson wonderful book, Undead & Unwed. I was expecting some heart wrenching story line like Amanda Ashley or Chritine Feehan. I was totally unprepared by the hilarity that the book managed to wrench from me. Sure, there’s a cute handsome hunk with well equipped ehem along with some weird positions and multiple partners, but the way the heroine is portrayed when caught up in the mass of storm was simply hilarious and mind boggling.

The story revolves around this woman who hates her name as she was named after the Queen of England, Elizabeth Taylor. She has a jabber mouth that doesn’t seem to stop and she can really yak her way until her victim runs away or signed himself up in the nearest mental asylum. So anyway the jabber mouth prude 20th century heroine of ours was killed in a freak car accident while she try to help her ungrateful cat on a roadside.

Before anyone knows it (even me) she woke up in a morgue, completely healthy with no brain damage whatsoever and screamed in total anger and horror when she saw herself in the mirror. It’s not the physical damaged that horrified her. Its her makeup, last season’s over-sized dress and ugly pair of pass me down fake leather shoes, courtesy from her beloved evil stepmother.

After failing to trying to kill herself and remain dead for all eternity much to her irritation, she finally took everything in a stride and continued on where she had left. Mainly, getting her hard saved Current Season Prada shoes.

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, this future jabber mouth vainglorious vampire queen is a branded shoe freak. Touch her shoes, and you shall feel the wrath of the undead. No one messes with her shoes… hahaha

Seriously, this book is a must read. I’m not going to type more else I’ll be re-writing the whole story down. (*_*)”

For those who hates from a first point of view story, well this may not be your chocolate but it doesn’t hurt to try….. come on…. you know you want it….. hehehe

There’s a saying, A sick Syikin is a very short fuse Syikin. That was what I was feeling the whole day. I couldn’t climb the stairs to my room without wincing and 10mins later, when I finally reached the top landing, I was panting and feeling like a 60yrs old.

My sudden attack of the body rash didn’t make its debut until around 9pm. From then on, I was like a dog with fleas. The urge to scratch was there, plastered into my mind and I made a mistake into falling to the cries of the siren. All the food that I nibbled and forced fed myself tasted bland and it got worst when I woke up this morning, everything tasted bitter.

My feet felt as if a thousand needles were prickling me every step I took. I thought yesterday was bad, today just got even worse. I had to constantly crawl to the toilet to vomit since that is the fastest I can do. My face was puffed up, my eyes were a little bit of swollen but my eye balls, they were monstrous red. All in all, this event make me really look like an ancient vampire dracula that just had her blood lust.

Mother was not in a good condition either. She’s either locked down to her bed or groaning her pain away. I know how she felt and because of her old age, she must really be having the pain that is 10times the usual. I even had to force feed her with Nestum Milo Drink during the night since I had experienced a gastric attack from the disease, and forced fed her to avoid the same thing to her.

I was thinking to use these long break to continue with my Indigo Eyes seeing that its on Hiatus for a long time. But with my aching joints and pains, I think that thought could remain on the shelve a little longer. My good friend is officially pregnant and I couldn’t decide what to get for her baby shower.

I thought of getting a children’s book. But then again, the child is not even born yet. I might as well get that for my nieces since both of them are smart enough. But that can wait also, until my Chikungunya settles down.

After one mishap, another strikes me. Now I’m having a painful life with my ever growing Wisdom Tooth making its presence known to me. Oww… Still painful but at least its much tolerable than the preivous one where I had both teeth growing out for the first time and having a throat infection at the same time.

The pain was enough to make me cry at night.

Enough of my pain and daily rants, I can go on forever. Chef Wan has come out with another cooking book, Resipi Aidilfitri. It cost RM19.90 and its sold everywhere in Avon stores. For every book bought, RM1.00 is being contributed to the charity.

I am going to buy it. His books are extremely good but that’s not why I’m buying it. It’s because he had used RM100,000 from his own pocket to fund the book publishing. That warrants some reckoning. It’s the determination of his that convinced me to buy it apart from his good recipes. Hehehe…

Perhaps Chef Wan should pay me for advertising his books in my blog.. hahaha.. But then again, I am a fan of his recipes and books, so no cover charge there my dears. As you can see below is a synopsis of his webpage. AND…
