It’s once again the revered day, the birth of our beloved Prophet Muhammad s.a.w. As it is a most respected day in the Islamic Calendar, it is not a surprise to find Muslim countries declaring it as a National Holiday for the birth of our Prophet.

I for one am itching to head out and attend all the functions that my fellow Muslims have planned for this day. There will be recital of the Quran, lectures given by profound Islamic leaders and of course the recital of the Selawat in praises for his Majesty.

In fact, I am quite giddy by just thinking of participating in the events. Not everyday I can get myself in such events. Previously I was too busy to attend but today, I’m revved up!

To all Muslims in the world, Blessings to All and Many blessings to his Majesty, Prophet Muhammad s.a.w

It’s finally Saturday and too bad for me there was nothing interesting in the news today. A mug of coffee and breakfast on my front yard did nothing to boost my still sleeping brain cells even though I had awaken an hour earlier. After a week staying at my sister’s house in Pasir Ris have made me miss the little tots.

I miss waking to their high pitched laughter, someone peeling my eyelids open or even facing the little hunny giving me a hickey on any part his 4 baby teeth can get. Okay, perhaps not that one since I still have his teeth marks on my hip! But I still miss my cute little darling nephews..

AfikAs you can see, that cheeky smiling darling above is my personal favourite, Muhammad Danial Afik a.k.a Aby-aby or Apek by me. He is the little angel that gave me hickeys whenever I’m sleeping and I’m not sure how his small legs could allow him to climb onto the bed.

I don’t have his other siblings picture with me. I didn’t have time to get a proper picture of them since they were both busy running around and creating more mischief than their parents could handle.

Perhaps one day, in the upcoming months when Afik is more stable on his feet, I’d bring the kids out for a walk around. I’ve been wanting to bring them out to see the Merlion and get some nice pictures of them near a water fountain but not near those pond fountains. I don’t trust them not to dip themselves in the pond.

Finally after a few days holidaying in Changi Hospital, dad is finally out and ready to conquer the world. Well, not fully ready but apart from his slight facial condition, he passed the ECG, CAT Scan and MRI with flying colours. He is still under house arrest by my elder sister and will return back home tomorrow without any fuss from her.

It’s 9.32pm right now and I can barely open my eyes, not to mention watching my steps on my sister’s favourite floor tiles. She does have a nice marble flooring but if I am really tired, not even a handsome Taufik Batisah could make my eyes open.

Oh yes, we are currently still lodging at my elder sister’s place and will do so until tomorrow. It’s her bossy mejsty orders to put dad under her house arrest. I can’t open my eyes anymore. Balancing a few weak hours of sleep per day and worrying over dad and job in the day takes quite a toll on my brain cells.

Need to sleep now..

Dad is in hospital for suspect of partial stroke. It looked that way to me since his whole left side of the face is paralysed. Had a slight panic during the first 36hrs of the incident and was nagged by my family GP to send him to the hospital before the crucial 48hrs of full stroke to take place.

You can just imagine how panicked and stressed out I was. Previously, it had happened before but after 24 hrs and a through traditional massage, the partial stroke was gone. That was 10yrs back. Now it relapsed again.

So now he is warded in the hospital after I send him to Changi General Hospital. He is warded at ward 49, bed 10. Currently I’ve gotten news from the doctor that his case was just an overlap of nerves but they are not taking it for granted and has warded him for a through check up.

Now I am waiting the doctor’s verdict whether he needs the CAT Scan or not and the MRI. Dad just called up to inform us of the news and I’m going to visit him again later in the day. Not sure if I will be heading back to JB today but highest possibility I need to as there are a few things for me to settle. Currently I’m lodging at my sister’s place in Singapore.

Will update about news of Dad later.

Things have been looking up for me at least on the lessening of the problems. Granddad is still in the hospital and from the reports I’ve been having from my aunt, his condition is not getting any better. The infection on his left leg has spread to other parts of his leg and the right one, despite efforts from doctors injecting antibiotics to counter the attack. From the picture she had MMS me, he looked much paler than he was when I last visited him.

No matter what had happened, he’s still my granddad. Even though there were times we had our fall backs with him being a sensitive old man, but he’s still the dearest granddad that comes out with the comical faces and riddles when I was bored. Perhaps I will revisit him again in the coming weeks.

I’ve not been quite free as I used to be. Things are getting a bit busy with the cleaning up of the mess that was left by our moving. I know it’s been two months since I’ve moved, but I don’t have the luxury to constantly unpack and sort out all our things. Thank god it is only a move between towns.

If it had been a cross country moving or between cities, I think I’ll just sell everything away and move in with nothing but my clothes.

Decorating your house is quite simple. You don’t really need to be an expert in interior designing or lose bountiful of your cash to redecorate your house. In fact all you need is to just readjust your furniture positions and add a few accessories to bring out the color of the room.

If you have a plain wall with solid colors, you can compliment it with adding picture frames, wall hung clocks or even adding a few sets of wall stickers. Like me, I’ve added a few of wall stickers on to my walls. I don’t need to be a great artist to draw murals on my walls, I just need to head out to the local department store and get the stickers over the counter.

The effect of these stickers is as good as a mural, less the messy paint jobs and it is also reusable. I didn’t get those expensive ones for my walls since I have a perchance of changing my wall colors almost every two years or so. So if you like to change wall colors like me, you can always get those 3 for RM10 wall stickers which are quite huge and decorate your wall as you wish.

It is the time of the year. Once again I have to renew my auto insurance and road tax as it is expiring this 19th Jan 2010. I’m contemplating whether to do it over the POS Malaysia counter or to pass it to an agent to do it for me since the que here at POS Malaysia is extremely long.

I’ve also calculated the lost of the stolen items and it had nearly accumulated to 10k. A big headache for me since I love my welding set! I don’t mind them taking my fiber cutter since that one had nearly cost my arm when it turned faulty years back. I do hope that machine took off the burglar’s arm when he uses it later.

That will be the sweetest payback. If I had known it was to be stolen, I’d have gladly taken out the split pin and screw everything back. The machine will certainly fly the blade off its holder and cut the idiot’s arms.

I am still angry at the break in. But I can’t do much right now since my whole family is down with food poisoning. Not sure what caused it and the only person who wasn’t affected by it is Ayu. Amazing, the person who eats almost everything in the kitchen wasn’t at all infected by the food poisoning. Either she has a good strong stomach, or she simply has the ability to munch her way out as a survival.

Oww.. gotta go retching my guts again. Take care!

It’s the first of November and I still haven’t completed all of my packing. My CDs are packed, so are my stationery and other miscellaneous items but my clothes and files.. Well they are just too irritating to pack.

My sis just went back home after her brief visit with her kids and her mother in law. Her kids were a marvelous distraction and I used it as a great excuse to run away from packing. I’ve never ever have the patience and discipline to pack and clean my closet off all my nonsense.

Anyway, I was reading through all the early morning news today and chatting on FB at the same time when the topic that a friend of mine brought up made me reeling. I never knew that there was such thing as an rv insurance.

Maybe because in Malaysia and Singapore there aren’t a single RV around to be seen so the thought of having that moving house cum trailer never crossed our mind. Why would we want to own an RV where we can always get a hotel, even those cheap clean APEK hotel, in all parts of Malaysia. Either that, the driver could always park his car at a nearby Police Station and sleep in his car.

I’m extremely exhausted right now. The outing with my sisters, her kids, her mother in law and mom drained all the reserved energy I had. Need to sleep now before I start sprouting nonsense.

Ciaoz!

In the meantime, I’ve uploaded pictures that I’ve taken during Cousin Razan’s engagement day here on Zackire.com. I’d usually load them on the Facebook but since some of my relatives doesn’t use FB, you can view them below.

Long Lasting Relationship Prayers for my dear cousin, Razan.

It’s tough and I’m not talking about the direct selling. It’s the house hunting and dealing with difficult agents who are non-negotiable, never friendly and some even downright rude. I got my days numbered and things to pack while house hunting and working at the same time.

My packing is not even half way done yet! Well.. Most probably I’d just have to do my favourite habit, last minute hectic packing before we move. Furthermore with all this fuss and running around, I’ve lost some of my weight and that is without even using those appetite suppressant pills.

In fact, if I can recall properly, I’ve eaten more than usual and I’m still losing my weight. Ok need to go now…

Will update more if the old man has decided which house he wanted to stay in. Adios!
